Explore the rich and thrilling culture of one of the most mysterious and undiscovered destinations in the world and experience the ultimate in stylish sightseeing on this Balloon Safari adventure over mystical Myanmar.Discover the impressive colonial and spiritual heritage of Yangon, one of the most fascinating capitals of South East Asia. Living in the lap of colonial luxury at the elegant Strand Hotel, "finest hostelry east of the Suez" since 1901, you will spend a day discovering the city's pagodas, museums and markets and enjoy fine dining at the renowned Le Planteur restaurant.
Continuing on to Heho in the Shan state you will experience the thrill of an adventurous aerial view of Pindaya's spectacular landscape in your first hot-air balloon ride. Guided by gentle winds not exceeding 15mph, you will enjoy a bird's-eye view of the state's tiny villages and pagodas as you glide over the valleys and mountains below.
Enjoy a stunning sunrise balloon ride the following morning before continuing by antique BOB bus and private motorboat to discover the floating gardens and stilt villages of Inle Lake. After exploring the lake's floating markets by canoe, you will learn how to prepare a traditional Inthar meal and enjoy a taste of the region's hospitality while lunching with a local family.
The next morning you will experience the lake's beauty from your unique vantage point aboard a hot-air balloon before transferring to Ayethayar Vine Yard for a leisurely day of fine wine tasting.
A bird watching balloon ride with early experts begins the next day and the afternoon is yours to relax enjoy Inle Lake before transferring to Bagan. Enjoy a bird's-eye view of area's 2,142 temples and pagodas from your hot-air balloon as you glide over forests of glittering stupas laid out like a mystical chess board below. Day 1 - Arrival in Yangon (D)
On arrival you will be welcome by your guide and transfered to your hotel to enjoy a delicious welcome dinner.
Overnight at The Strand Yangon, Myanmar Day 2 - Yangon (B,L,D)Today you'll be exploring Yangon and taking a closer look at the local life of this impressive colonial city. Discover Myanmar's glorious history at the National Museum, visit the golden Sule pagoda and enjoy a walk around Mahabandoola Park to take in the colonial courthouse and city hall. After lunch at a local restaurant, shop for handicrafts at the bustling Bogyoke Market and end the day at the Shwedagon Pagoda with its glittering stupa covered with 60 tons of pure gold leaf. Dinner is at the renowned Le Planteur Restaurant.
Overnight at The Strand Yangon, Myanmar Day 3 - Yangon - Heho - Pindaya (B,L,D)This morning you fly to Heho in the Shan state where you will be met by your guide and transfered by old colonial antique BOB bus to Pindaya, a small quiet town perched on the banks of the placid Botoloke Lake. Enjoy a light lunch and experience your first Balloon Safari which takes you gliding over Pindaya's picturesque mountain valleys, tiny Shan hamlets and hill top pagodas. In the evening, sample a traditional Danu dinner at Inle Inn.

After breakfast, take a unique BOB bus to catch your stunning sunrise balloon flight over Pindaya. After the journey, you will proceed to the "Shwe U Min" Cave, the cavernous home to thousands of Buddha images since the 11th century. After lunch, transfer to Nyaung Shwe by BOB and board a private motorboat to Inle Lake, where you will enjoy an afternoon of scenic canoeing through the Intha stilt villages and floating gardens. A special welcome traditional Shan dinner and cultural show is the evening's entertainment.

Day 5 - Inle - Indein - Inle (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will visit Inle's colourful floating morning market, buy cooking ingredients and continue to an Inthar house to experience traditional Intha cooking and share lunch with the family. After lunch, you will continue to Indein, a small village on the western bank of the lake, and enjoy panoramic views of the area from the beautiful pagoda hill there.

After breakfast, we will take a private motorboat to enjoy a spectacular morning balloon flight over Lake Inle. Our skilled pilots use their knowledge of the winds to steer the balloon over Inle's floating villages, gardens and immense labyrinth of canals. you then continue to Ayethayar Vine Yard about 25 kilometres from the lake for a leisurely afternoon sampling Myanmar's high quality wines. Return to the hotel in the evening where you will dine in the Wine Cellar.

Depart early for a fascinating bird watching balloon flight with local experts and take the rest of the morning to enjoy the scenic beauty of Inle Lake. Transfer to Nyaung Shwe to have lunch at "View Point" restaurant and proceed to Heho Airport for your domestic flight to Bagan. Upon arrival in Bagan, you will be welcomed by our staff and transfered to "Sukara Thiripyitsaya Hotel" to check-in and relax for the afternoon. Dinner this evening will be at "Sakura Terrace" with the Bagan Pilots' fire balloon display.

Day 8 - Bagan (B,L,D)
After breakfast, you will be transfered by antique bus to the place for your morning balloon flight. After lunch at Tharabar Gate Hotel, we will proceed to a lacquer-ware factory to learn about Bagan's arts and crafts industries before enjoying the sunset on a boat trip along the river. Enjoy a special candlelit dinner and cultural show against the dramatic backdrop of ancient pagoda ruins.

After breakfast, you will be transfered by historical bus for your magical morning balloon flight over the ancient capital and surrounding areas. We will then proceed to the colourful Nyaung Oo Market and Dhamayangyi Temple, noted for its remarkable brickwork and Bagan-era architecture. After lunch at the Thiripyitsaya Sakura Hotel the afternoon is yours to relax at the hotel or enjoy some last-minute sight seeing around old Bagan before transfering to Nyaung Oo Airport for your onward flight.
