Who should go?

They say that the Park Hyatt was built to suit the rich, famous and the powerful, and we are certainly inclined to agree. As important are those of us who like to feel rich, famous and powerful while on vacation, the Park Hyatt is certainly the place to stay in Saigon. It's hard to complain if Brad and Angelina didn't when they stayed here.

When to go?

Saigon is best experienced during the dry season, from late September to May. If you do find yourself in Saigon during the rainy season, be sure to bring a good umbrella.

The service at the Park Hyatt is probably among the top three in Vietnam (the Nam Hai and the Sofitel Metropole come to mind). The crisp starch of their uniforms and you can depend on the concierge to go the extra mile to take care of your every wish, whimsical or not.

What's cooking?

The Park Hyatt is surrounded by some very fine restaurants indeed, but Square One and the Opera Restaurants are fine dining in their own right. A cozy Italian dinner at the Opera is certainly one that should not be missed. The breakfast buffet in comparison is a bit basic, but accompanied by excellent service.
